Machine Operator

The Machine Operator position is considered an entry level position, and is responsible for operating machines that bend, cut, form and resistance weld wire and light gauge steel products in our fast-paced environment. Starting pay is $15.00 an hour, with an increase of $0.50 after the first 90 days. Additional increases are available as operators gain experience.

Position Summary

The Machine Operator position performs tasks that include machine set-up and operation, packaging parts and performing minor machine troubleshooting. This position will engage in basic machine operations utilizing 1-3 machines. Candidates must follow Ver-Mac’s quality processes and procedures, including conducting quality inspections and order documentation. 

Safety is a priority and adherence to safety policies is required.
 

Tools for Success

All new Machine Operators will be paired with an experienced co-worker to learn how to properly operate the machines and tools used to perform daily tasks and to understand our operational processes and procedures.  

The ideal Machine Operator will possess mechanical ability which is used in this position and will have experience with complex machines. Attention to detail and a willingness to learn is important as the ideal candidate will need to be attentive to product quality and meeting customer requirements.

Qualifications

  • A high school diploma or GED is preferred but not required
  • Manufacturing and machine operation experience is preferred but all are welcome to apply
